Nothobranchius melanospilus Pfeffer 1876 N. melanospilus is a coastal species found in Tanzania in both seasonal pools and ponds which do not completely dry out. N. melanospilus is considered a predatory species of often found sympatric with other smaller species of Nothobranchius.
